Only guests with security bracelets will be given access to the guest elevator and restrooms; no exceptions. A cordial and attentive staff is available to assist guests with any needs they might have. This hotel has maintained a turn- of-the-century feel, with rich crimson-and-gold sofas, velvet curtains, and oil paintings of royalty in the lobby. This hotel shares sidewalks with fine dining, world-class shopping, theatre, Moscone Convention Center, and San Francisco's world famous cable car line to Fisherman's Wharf. The guest rooms feature a contemporary décor, high speed Internet access, work desks, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, pay-per- view movies, in-room safes and cable TVs. The hotel is also within a block of the Curran and Geary theaters, two of San Francisco's best repertory houses. The King George Hotel at Union Square offers an ideal San Francisco location. Located in the heart of downtown, the King George Hotel is just three blocks from the Powell Street BART station, which now services both Oakland and San Francisco International Airports. New Year's Eve policy: Parties and/or excessive noise is not permitted in hotel guest rooms. Please note that once the bracelet is on, it can only be removed by cutting it off. Named in tribute to King George V of England, the hotel features daily tea service in a traditional tearoom, and evening wine and champagne at the lively jazz bar. The number of guests per room must be confirmed prior to arrival; additional guests will not be added to the reservation at the time of check-in. The King George Hotel also features complimentary WiFi Internet connections in all public areas, a 24-hour business center with high-speed Internet access and full concierge services.
